Government Degree College, Salooni, situated in one of the serene and remotest geographical belts of Chamba district, Himachal Pradesh, is committed to delivering quality education with equity and innovation. The college is affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, and functions under the administrative and academic guidance of the Directorate of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh.

Quality Assurance & Institutional Recognition

• NAAC Accreditation
  The college is preparing for the assessment by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC),and expected to be evaluated after completing all codial formalities and completing the process of inclusion of the college in 2f and 12B. Though, the institution is working on all seven criteria of NAAC process and recently successfully completed and ranked at 7th position in it’s category by State Assessment Ranking (SAR) initiated by the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh and now aspiring for various academic and institutional benchmarks in near future.
• AISHE Participation
  The college is registered under the All-India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE), a nationwide initiative by the Ministry of Education to collect comprehensive data on the status of higher education and institutional AISHE Code is C-11468.
• RUSA Support
  The college is a beneficiary of the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), a centrally sponsored scheme aimed at transforming and strengthening higher education institutions across India.Through RUSA funding, the college has improved infrastructure, ICT facilities, library services, and student-centric initiatives, contributing to a more holistic learning environment.
• NIRF Readiness
  Although not currently listed in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), the college is working toward eligibility by enhancing its academic ecosystem, research profile, and extension activities.

Through regular assessments, stakeholder feedback, and institutional development initiatives, the college is continuously progressing toward academic excellence and regional leadership in higher education.
