In strict compliance with the directives of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and other regulatory bodies, and to ensure a safe, secure, and conducive learning environment free from ragging, the Anti-Ragging Committee at Government Degree College Salooni is hereby constituted for the academic session 2025-26. This committee is mandated to strictly prohibit, prevent, and eliminate the scourge of ragging in all its forms.

The Anti-Ragging Committee will operate with the following key objectives and functions:

To ensure the strict implementation of the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009, and any subsequent amendments thereof.

To widely publicize the penal consequences of ragging among all students, particularly freshers, and their parents/guardians.

• To monitor and ensure that no incident of ragging takes place within the college premises.
• To promptly investigate any reported or observed incident of ragging and take immediate and appropriate disciplinary action against the culprits as per the rules and regulations.
• To organize anti-ragging awareness programs, workshops, and campaigns for students, faculty, and staff.
• To ensure the display of anti-ragging posters, helpline numbers, and other relevant information at prominent locations within the college.
• To maintain proper records of all complaints received and actions taken.
